Based on a Romeo and Juliet theme.
It is set in a fantastical world where two kingdoms are at war, and have been for centuries.
One kingdom is set in the mountains, a strong, thick built people. They cherish fitness and warriors, and they have a society more like Europe. Stone castles, nothing much of luxury, what is needed to survive in the harsh climate of the mountains. They mostly hunt but some farming, that kind of thing.
The second kingdom is on the coast, a religious kingdom the people are lithe and smart. They cherish religion and academia. The war continues between the people because while they are physically weaker, they have superior weapons and tactics. They are more like the Middle East, their homes are ornate and luxurious and they primarily fish and farm for their food.
The plot is; the male prince (or some form of royalty) of the warlike kingdom is the only man left alive after a battle on the plains between the two kingdoms. He tries to walk back to his kingdom but is not strong enough, and collapses. The princess of the religious kingdom finds him while out praying, and takes him back to her castle to heal him not knowing who he is. Her brother the prince would recognize him if seen. Things can ensue from there. Other characters would be the kings and queens, their servants. Anything like that. There can be plots to keep the war going even though the kingdoms have wished to stop for years, such as sorcerers or anything like that. I also thought the royal families could have powers, like teleportation or extra human strength. No idea, just something more fantastical.
World War III (2902 – 2923 A.D.), a war that decided the over powering future of the human race. A war that destroyed nations, killed the human spirit, and changed the demographical makeup of countries. The five countries that remained in power after the war, conquered territory without restraint or mercy, and the downtrodden civilians let it happen.
The United States, Russian Conquered Territories, Japanese Empire, Middle Eastern United, and China were the only government powers to survive. Australia and numerous islands fell to the Japanese. Mongolia, India, and Indo-China became united under Chinese communism. Europe and small countries of Asia were enveloped into Russia. The vast continent of Africa surrendered to the united powers of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Iran. The entire span of the Americas; Mexico, Canada and South America, merged into the powerful United States. Now some years later, on the brink of a new millennium, 3000, the human race has given to the dictatorships that lead all five super powers.
War is no longer a thought to the leaders of the countries, for an alliance has been forged between the great powers, the F.A.S.P. (Final Alliance of Super Powers) Though while the wealthy live happily in beautiful cities, the middle class and poor have become a crumbling hell with no escape. To keep the general masses under control the F.A.S.P has organized the U.S.P (United Secret Police) a brutal force that ensures no one leaves their country, or the planet. Of course all systems have their flaws and small groups of people have left the planet, and are living on a drifter colony called The Rebellion.
Ss numbers grow on The Rebellion the people decide to liberate some of the helpless people back on Earth. Rumors of The Rebellion spread like wildfires and if you know the right people you can join The Rebellion.
The human species left Earth long ago, traveling the universe and successfully transforming a decaying system into a thriving cluster of bright, vibrant planets. War within the species has long faded, the system watched over by the “royal” family, or the Chancellor – the descendant of the man that helped the species leave Earth, and thrive in the heavens.
The galaxy that the human species now calls home supports two other species that have been locked into a deadly civil war for generations. The Atukia are a harsh, violent species that are starting to loose the war against the Lithiu, an intelligent, lithe species that have managed to create weapons and spacecraft far beyond the technology of the Atukia. The human race has managed to stay out of the war, but slowly the Atukia have begun to enter the edges of the human’s solar system – attacking moons and planets at the rim of the system, less protected and generally unwatched by the central planets.
On the central planets the Chancellor refuses to believe that the Atukia have invaded his system, and ignores a militia group that has been fighting back the volatile species.
Knowing this the Lithiu hatch a plan to bring the human species into the war, and finally break the already failing Atukia forces. The Lithiu hear that the Chancellor’s daughter is traveling, and manage to attack her convoy and take her hostage – all the while using Atukia spacecraft so that the human race believes the Atukia were behind the attack.
The militia hear of the true plan, knowing that the Lithiu are behind the kidnapping, so they send two militia members to rescue her, and use her to finally convince the Chancellor to protect the otter planets and make sure the human species is not brought into the war.
